patch ?

A patch is a plain text document showing the change you want to make to the code, and documenting why it is a good idea.

• git format-patch 명령어로 patch 생성 가능

• patch에는 커밋 메세지가 필요
  • 어떤 변경이고 왜 필요한지

메일 수신자 ?

• 리눅스 커널은 여러개의 서브시스템으로 구성된다.
• 각 서브시스템마다 담당자와 메일링 리스트가 있다.
• 내가 변경한 부분의 코드가 어떤 서브시스템에 포함되는지를 알아야한다.
  • https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/scripts/get_maintainer.pl 이걸 통해 파악할 수 있다고한다.
